Discover the Marco Island Nature Preserve and Bird Sanctuary
The Preserve is dedicated to the protection of this unique and bustling habitat by promoting a healthy respect for nature and the wildlife inhabitants.
Welcome to the Marco Island Nature Preserve and Bird Sanctuary
The Marco Island Nature Preserve and Bird Sanctuary is a project the Marco Eagle Sanctuary Foundation started in 2010, and the land was purchased by the foundation in 2021 to preserve this green space for generations to come. Our efforts have provided the community with a place to walk our nature trail, and soon to come, our open-air pavilion. Visitors can now enjoy nature and our wildlife up close. The preserve site is located at 665 Tigertail Court, Marco Island, Florida. The project includes the replenishment of plants and trees native to the region so the public can experience the natural habitat of pre-development Marco Island which will preserve the home of our bird and wildlife population including American Bald Eagles.
Hours & Admission
Our Nature Trail is open daily during daylight hours. Parking for those driving to the preserve is in the SWALE (this is the area between the street and the sidewalk). No overnight parking is permitted. Remember always to park in the direction of traffic; police will ticket any cars parked going against the traffic.
